Ben Barnes
Ben brings structure to complex problems, turning ambitious ideas into real, working capabilities. He specialises in team strategies, designing organisations, operating models, and structured change initiatives, ensuring that transformation is both technically and operationally sound.
Before co-founding BlueprintCo, Ben spent eight years supporting law enforcement capabilities via business analysis, technical project management, and systems engineering roles. Prior to that, he was a systems engineer turned executive in a FTSE 100 defence and security company, managing programme engineering activities on major projects worth up to £300m while also gaining management experience across business functions. He designed and led the systems engineering team for a £12bn London Underground engineering programme and was the initial director responsible for implementing the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering. During this time, he also led technical strategy for concept visualisation technologies, used to define and shape future capabilities.
An MBA graduate from the Open University, he is also a Chartered Systems Engineer (CEng MIET) and holds a BSc in Physics from Imperial College.

Charlotte Taylor
Charlotte combines policing and academic experience to design, review, deliver and implement effective capabilities.
Prior to co-founding BlueprintCo, Charlotte spent 4 years working as a consultant supporting the Government and Policing, predominantly designing and implementing new national policing capabilities. With her background in law enforcement Charlotte specialises in designing business change strategies to support policing with implementation.
Charlotte has 10 years’ experience working within policing in both operational and management roles across communications data investigations and covert authorisations. Whilst in policing Charlotte was responsible for several internal business change projects, including the implementation of new legislation, an IT workflow application, and establishing a 24/7 service provision to support life at risk incidents. Charlotte also lead regional projects reviewing interoperability opportunities across covert authorisations, and supported a number of national projects (reviewing training and resilience for communications data investigators and supplying training material to a new national authorisation body).
Charlotte has a Masters Degree Evidenced-based policing (Applied Criminology and Police Management, Cambridge University) and a BA Honours Degree in Criminal Investigation with Psychology.

Jarrah Harburn
Jarrah is a senior business analyst with extensive experience in policing and government transformation. With a strong background in law enforcement, he specialises in designing and implementing national-scale change initiatives, optimising operational models, and driving stakeholder engagement across multi-agency environments.
Prior to joining BlueprintCo, Jarrah spent ten years working in the Metropolitan Police and SO15 where he worked across operations, investigations and, latterly, business strategy and transformation.
Whilst at BlueprintCo, Jarrah has led the national rollout of a new law enforcement capability and developed Cloud adoption strategies for policing.

Jade Prince
Jade is a specialist in data-driven policing with a proven track record of utilising quantitative and qualitative analysis to deliver tactical advice and training to senior leaders, enhancing operational capabilities.
Before BlueprintCo, Jade held a number of analyst roles in both local and national police organisations, where she led modern slavery investigations, analysing data on trafficked victims to shape national safeguarding policies. She was also an accredited Comms Data SPoC.
Whilst at BlueprintCo, Jade has designed futures training material for policing and also taken a lead role in the analysis of how AI detection tooling could be used operationally and identified requirements for future tooling.

Michael Yates
Michael has spent a large part of his career working in large scale programme delivery in the public sector with a particular focus on Law Enforcement. He specialises in designing, delivering and embedding sustainable structures and processes within organisations.
Prior to joining BlueprintCo, Michael held a number of roles within the UK Civil Service, implementing new national law enforcement capabilities and delivering digital services on GOV.UK. In a previous life, he was also an Account Director in a global marketing agency.
At BlueprintCo, Michael has led the delivery of an exploratory commission into the evolving impact of Generative AI on Child Sex Abuse Material (CSAM).

Charlie Sydenham-Brackstone
Charlie is a strategic analyst at BlueprintCo. with a strong background in both intelligence research and analysis. With nine years of policing experience, Charlie has held various intelligence-based roles, specialising in processing, analysis, and strategic assessments.
Prior to joining BlueprintCo, Charlie worked at ACRO where she was responsible for analysing large data sets, contributing to national strategic assessments, and developing intelligence-led recommendations for law enforcement. An accredited Comms Data SPoC, she has provided critical intelligence support for high-risk investigations, including serious and organised crime, missing persons, and counter-firearms operations.

Steve Brizell
Steve is a police operations and command subject matter expert with a wealth of expertise and knowledge of how policing develop and implement strategic plans for complex public safety initiatives.
Prior to joining BlueprintCo, Steve spent 30 years working in Merseyside Police where, as a senior leader, he specialised in leading large and complex change programmes using data-driven insights to improve operational processes, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery. Steve led and managed a geographic area of policing, overseeing multiple departments and teams, with responsibility for performance and culture development across 300+ staff.
Since joining BlueprintCo, Steve has taken a lead role in the design of a transition plan for a national capability rollout to move the programme from a tactical phase to a strategic, scalable solution.
